Link Crew™ is a highly
successful program in place in high schools all over the U.S.
The program operates by organizing a group of selected campus
seniors who act as mentors and positive role models for
sophomore students. These Link Leaders begin the school year
with a two-day extensive training retreat. Then they lead
activities during an interactive orientation where 10th graders
meet their Link Leaders, each other, and their school. Each
sophomore student is assigned to a group of 8 or 9 other new
students and two Link Leaders. Link Leaders continue to support
their student Crew by meeting with them regularly, inviting them
to school functions, and assisting them academically. Through
this program, the school is expected to become a comfortable
environment where new students find support and success all year
long, and continuing students find a place where a positive,
supportive attitude is encouraged and reflected in their peers.
