Resources for IB Biology Teachers
A note for summer 2025: I am going on a LONG backpacking trip (250 miles, 402 km). I will not have access to my email and will not be able to give access to teacher resources until I am home in late August. Thanks for your understanding! If you are curious about my adventure, I'll post videos on YouTube here.
Things I am still working on:
While I don't create materials "on demand," if there is something you think I should add to Biology for Life for the benefit of IB Bio teachers and students, please let me know.
- Creating slides for each content statement of the 2025 syllabus
- Adding a page about calculating percent change and percent difference
- Adding a page about standard error
- Updating collaborative science project documents
- Updating information about the external assessment
- Creating a page for SKILLS in the 2025 syllabus
- Creating a page for NOS in the 2025 syllabus
- Creating revision documents for the 2025 syllabus
- Creating Quizlet study sets for the 2025 syllabus

Access to Teacher Resources
Since I started Biology for Life in 2001, I have given many of my IB Biology resources away, for the benefit of students and teachers around the world. I get a lot of joy knowing that teachers and students benefit from my work. If you've found the materials helpful, please consider making a contribution of any amount to this Earthwatch Expedition Fund. Alternatively, our classroom loves doing biology themed puzzles and here are a few options available on Amazon.
Here are a few conundrums I've been contemplating:
As a result, I am placing the editable versions of my slides and some other teacher specific materials behind a password protected page. If you are a teacher and would like access, please send me a message ([email protected]). I don't need much, but I would like verification that you are in fact a teacher and that you will abide by the Creative Commons Attribution License. If you already know the password, please feel free to share it with other IB Biology teachers. This isn't intended to be a super rigorous security system, it's only Google slides after all!

Here are a few conundrums I've been contemplating:
- I've discovered that at least one unscrupulous person has been selling my materials on Teachers-Pay-Teachers without my knowledge or approval. TPT was quick to remove the seller and refunds were issued to those who purchased.
- Students have been caught taking my slide decks and submitting them for class projects.
